What I'm Doing Now
25th September~ Back home from my school's annual Swimming Gala. Phew! I was giving out my team/house's soveniers to the rest of
the school, which was quite hard work. I also collected lots of soveniers from the other houses though-- blue bead bracelets from Caval House, green
leaf-shaped pins from Kenny House, a sprig of fake lavenders from Morris House, fake gold medals from Curie House, and a tiny orange lifeboat from Mason House.
My house, Keller house, is named after the famous Helen Keller, and one of the soveniers from my house are tiny biography booklets about her life! Another
sovenier from Keller house is a black ribbon necklace with a red feather on it, and it was extremely populare this year. I sold almost all of the bracelets in
just one hour! And I lost another freestyle relay swimming event for the 3rd year in a row...:(
29th June~ I've finally finished my exams, and I've got a week before I get my end-of-year report. I'm very nervous about it, so
I'm not really sure if I can relax this week...
24th April~ Writing an essay about 'Sword Stained With Royal Blood' by Jing Yong for my Chinese Literature homework. It's sooo
boring, and I don't understand the novel at all.
My Ramblings...
And the worst thing is that I'm taking my HKCEE exams next year, which are the big exams here in Hong Kong. My teachers have all started to ramble about how the HKCEEs are gonna affect my future, my application for university in 2-3 years time, blah blah blah. Well, at least I've got A+s in my recent English and English Literature essays, although I've got a D- in my Chinese!
A Little About Me
I have mid-length black hair and dark brown eyes. I'm 4'9'' feet, and I'm the shortest kid in my class (possibly even the shortest in the whole school!).
I was born in Wisconsin (in the US), but my parents decided to move back to Hong Kong when I was 8 years old, and I've lived in Hong Kong ever since (except when I lived at my aunt's in Taiwan for a year when I was 10). So I know Cantonese, Putonghua, Taiwanese and English, and a little bit of French. My Cantonese isn't very good, however, but as I'm planning to study abroad a few years later, I don't think it matters very much.
